[Media Invitation] KOKOMAMA Market Place

Conveniently situated in the heart of Singapore at Dhoby Ghaut, where it is housed at the Singapore School of the Arts (SOTA) building. An adventurous business by the Chew siblings behind 77th Street, KOKOMAMA aims to present a wide range of international fusion dishes to Singaporean palate, and hence, the “Market Place”.

A hip fusion cafe that sells different varieties of food and beverages - french bakery, chilli crab/curry/clam chowder bread bowls, rice bowls, coffee (latte etc), traditional kopi/teh and dessert such as waffles and korean bingsu!

Salted Egg Croissant

Peanut Butter Croissant

 Custard Croissant

Honestly, each kokolava croissant has its own distinct flavour and taste just as good. It depends which is more to your liking, in order to enjoy most out of it. For me, it would be Custard Croissant > Salted Egg Croissant > Peanut Butter Croissant. Good that the croissant is flaky with crisp exterior. The filling is light and not too flavourful.

Next, we tasted the fusion pizzas - Chilli Crab, Salted Egg & Smoked Duck. Particularly, I adore the Chilli Crab one the most as it goes along best with the well-toasted flatbread. And yes, they are pretty generous in their fillings.

Salted Egg Seafood Pasta

Salted egg seafood pasta that is rather tasty and classic on its own! The texture of its pasta could have been better though.

 Mango Bingu

 Matcha Bingu

Yogurt Fruity Bingsu

Particularly, I enjoyed the mango bingsu for its overall appeal and texture. Matcha bingsu tasted pretty distinct though its texture of its shaved iced could have been better. Yogurt Fruity Bingsu has a pretty presentation that is Instagram worthy. However, I could hardly taste the sourness of its yogurt. The fruits topping certainly help to make the experience better.
