I always enjoyed watching suspense thriller shows. Thus, decided to search for any recent Japan suspense film. Then, I came across this show: Yakou Kanransya 夜行摩天轮. This drama poster captured my attention.

I think the storyline was pretty good though I expected more. It somewhat play tricks on my mind on the previous and current scenes thus kept me in suspense. The starting scene started off with a family guy found dead. The story starts from there and make viewers ponder who the murderer was?

Was impressed by the actors/actress acting ability. Natural and impressive. I realised that simplicity can be blissful too.

Tonkotsu Tsukemen

This is my favourite ramen from Ramen Champion. Get to try other ramen from my friends and I feel the soup base was rather strong for me. Thus, this is the only dish I will order when I visit the place. (:

This ramen is from Aoyama. The soup base and ramen is separated in individual bowl. When you drink the soup base itself, it is salty. Once it is added in the ramen, it tasted just right. The char siew is well marinated too.

Watched Ip man the final fight premiere screening at Shaw Lido yesterday evening. Thanks Jon for the tickets as he happened to have it. (:

The story started rather slow with the background and history of the character. Certain scenes were messy and did not seem to flow well. As the story goes on, it gets more exciting with the fight scenes. Nice moves I thought but they could have showcased it more. When it reached to a certain level of excitement, the fight scene ended.

I think it focused more on the "human touched" and the overall story plot because this is a true life story. If you are there for the fight scene, this show will not appeal to you.

Decided to catch Fullmetal Alchemist when my colleagues talk about it. It reminded me when I played this game in the past too. Thus, I am pretty curious and want me to know the whole story plot as I did not manage to complete the game. If I did not play this before, I think I will never watch anime drama. The experience was a good one.

I think the story plot was pretty refreshing and I enjoyed it. It started by introducing each characters in the show. Certain scenes were draggy but it flow well as the story goes on. Since this is the first time watching anime, I felt that the expression was so cute! Nice action-fighting scenes which bring the show up too.

The two characters I adore will be Edward Elric and Roy Mustang! Both has their own unique personality which I thought was cool!

Mixed feeling when this drama ended because it could be a happy or sad ending because it is up for you to think and decide. One nice anime! (:

Was invited to Channel U’s Start Up!《创!》private screening as a Uber VIP on Thursday evening! It was held at Onaka restaurant & wine bar in ARC.

The guest waiting and queuing to get into the restaurant.

The spread of refreshment being served there. The food tasted reasonably good. The dish I adore most was salmon! Oh ya, watermelon sashimi had a unique taste of its own too.

And yup! Saw Calvin Timo there! (:

The host for this event was Ben Yeo! Still looking boyish as usual.

First to came out was the director. This was his first chinese drama out of the english drama he did previously before. He shared with us about having inspiration of creating this series. Something interesting he mentioned about is to start anew and leaving the past behind.

The above trailer is what you get to watch from television or online. The one I watched was the extended trailer for this drama - Start Up!《创!》.  To me, I think this series look pretty promising, showcasing different characters.

There was one scene which caught my attention was Yin Xuan (starring Rebecca Lim) and Sun Shao (starring Zhang Zhen Huan) where there was a commotion about her revenging over her father's death. In order to know the entire truth, I guess I have to only catch it!

Remember to catch this 13 episode show starting on 28th March 2013 (Thursday) 8pm at Channel U!

I think it will be better if I catch episode 1 so that I could write more about this show. Oh ya! Reminded me about the private screening I went - Secrets For Sale 拍。卖

Then, the theme song which was sang by Tay Ke wei came out to present her song. Nice song which I thought was nicely and beautifully pinned for this drama.

Finally, the cast for this show came out to say hello!

Zhang Zhen Huan 张振寰

Rebecca Lim 林慧玲

Kate Pang 庞蕾馨

Ben Yeo interviewed them about their character in the show. And yup, 3 of them shared with us about their different characters and also certain difficulty while acting this drama.

Then, it was game time! Everyone had a great time having close interaction with their favourite celebrity.

Had a great and enjoyable evening!! Thanks to everyone and sponsors who made this private screening and drama a successful one! Am blessed to have the opportunity to cover for Channel U’s Start Up!《创!》! (:

Pancake Soufflé Style with Chocolate Banana

Carbonara with Yolk & Bacon

Tomato Cream Omu Rice with Shrimp & Mozzarella

Hoshino Spaghetti with Eggplant, bacon, Shimeji & Sausage

Dinner was @ Hoshino Coffee with Trois! Always wanted to try the food there because of the long queue! Guessed it must be good! Finally had the chance! (:

Managed to be there earlier with Gary to avoid massive queuing crowd. Something interesting I saw on the table was a Wi-Serve Table Call. I think it was a rather refreshing and good concept to see it in a restaurant. Just a button and the staff will attend to you. The ambiance is pretty and nice.

Since Jw will be there later, we decided to place an order first. Ordered Pancake Soufflé Style with Chocolate Banana! Yummy! It tasted good and fresh! The Pancake is thick and it went well with the chocolate banana and ice-cream. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

When Jw arrived, we ordered our dish for dinner! These were our orders:
- Carbonara with Yolk & Bacon
- Tomato Cream Omu Rice with Shrimp & Mozzarella
- Hoshino Spaghetti with Eggplant, bacon, Shimeji & Sausage

I had Hoshino Spaghetti. I think that it tasted reasonably good with the nicely done soft boiled egg. Not to forget the other sides in it such as Eggplant, shimeji, bacon & Sausage!

I also tried the other dishes my friend ordered. The tomato cream omu rice portion was pretty small with only 1 shrimp given. Good thing is that the tomato cream & omelette tasted good. The rice tasted pretty normal though.

Carbonara with yolk & bacon tasted slightly too cheesy for me. If you are a cheese lover, I guess you will love this dish alot. Small amount slices of bacon was given. The spaghetti tasted slightly hard but still edible. Sadly to say that the yolk is already mixed inside when served.

One thing to improve was the serving time, it was slow thus causing the massive crowd queuing to get a seat. I think I will visit again to try the coffee. A good chill out place to have hi-tea with friends.

96°C Café (96°C 咖啡)

Completed watching episode 1 to 8 of the show at xinfirst. This is one light-hearted romance series which will attract the younger viewers out there. The story is rather similar to those you watched in taiwan idol drama. It is about this 96°C Café with a coffee owner and his wife. The story goes on from there.

Towards the end of the xinfirst webisode, there is a twist which make viewers want to find out more on the love between both of them.

The next episode will be up on 7 April on Ch 8 from 10.30pm - 11pm! Cannot wait to catch the rest of this series soon!

Catch the xinfirst webisode here: 96°C Café (96°C 咖啡)

Watched warm bodies with Bryan as he happened to have preview ticket, He asked me along. Nice to bump into Jonathan and at the same meet new friend Hong Peng. (:

I feel that the story plot is rather refreshing. It started of quite draggy on the love story and that lose many attention of the viewers. The first half was rather dry without much climax. However, as the story goes by, it started to get slightly better. I feel that this show is similar to Twilight, one on zombie and the other on vampire. Good that there are some humor element in certain scenes which bring the show up.

One good take away: Learn to accept and forgive others who try to turn over a new leaf. People do change because of love.
