Had this Chicken katsu at Ichiban boshi. The restaurant had a good ambiance and the service was up to expectation.

This dish comes with a decent portion though it might be small for some. The Chicken katsu tasted reasonably good. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. I like the sauce provided because it goes pretty well with the meat.

It will be even better if the meat is slightly thicker to make my dinning experience better.

Adapted from the novel of the same name Ore Ore, written by Tomoyuki Hoshino, which won the Kenzaburo Oe Prize in 2011. Kazuya Kamenashi of a popular boy-band, KAT-TUN, will star as the protagonist, Hitoshi. The movie premiered in 15th Udine Far East Film Festival Italy, and Kamenashi won the My Movie Audience Award.

A casual scam triggers a surreal series of events, which turns everyone into "ME," who eventually turns on each other. Hitoshi, who is at first disoriented in the world that is inhabited by so many Hitoshis, yet unexpectedly finds the uncomplicated relationships among "himselves" quite comfortable.

Watched It's Me, It's Me Ore Ore with Hong Yao yesterday night. I felt that the story was rather refreshing! Guessed this was the first time watching a film which injected comedy and suspense together and was nicely done.

The introduction was slightly draggy and seems normal till Hitoshi Nagano stole a cellphone left behind by a customer. The story started here where he undertakes a popular scam: he calls the person's mother and with the open-sesame magic formula "It's me! It's me!" poses as her son, easily talking the mom into transferring cash to his own depleted bank account.

It was not realistic that such a thing will happened but I thought the multiplying of Hitoshi Nagano triggered me that a person might have different sides of personality and thoughts when you are in different situations. To pose and cheat is a root to greed and thus weird things happened to him.

To make things back to what it was, he has to be a changed person. However, the ending left me a mystery that, is he still the same Hitoshi Nagano? I doubt so with the dyed hair and other hints in it.

Had this Hainanese Curry Rice from Maxwell Food Centre. The curry gravy tasted just right and not too strong for my taste bud. It goes well with the rice and dishes. The pork chop was well marinated; crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The meat was nicely sliced into small bites as well.

I think this is the best curry rice I have eaten thus far!

The show follows Emma (Chando), a kind-hearted foster kid who cant catch a break. She finds out she has an identical twin sister, Sutton (also played by Chando), who unlike Emma was adopted by wealthy parents and is seemingly living an ideal life. After their initial meeting, Sutton talks Emma into stepping into her life for a few days while she pursues a lead on their birth mother. Initially excited to do this favor for her sister, Emma soon learns that Sutton has gone missing and could be in trouble. Now, Emma must decide whether to come clean to Suttons family and risk her own safety in the hope of uncovering her twin sisters true whereabouts, along with the truth about why they were separated in the first place.

Finished watching The Lying Game of season 1 and 2. Was browsing on what series to catch online and I stumbled onto this film. The title seems interesting thus I decided to try watching it.

I feel that the story was decent and flow quite well. A lost twin who get reunited after so.. long and switched places to find their real mum. A show that educate the viewers out there that honesty is the key to a happy family. Once you tell a lie, you need to 10 or even more to cover the lie. It kept me in suspense most of the episode thinking why and how a particular incident happened.

I had to applauded for Alexandra Chando acting ability here. It is not easy to act 2 characters which is so.. different and I think she did pretty good! The chemistry she had with Blair Redford was there and it seems that they are a real couple.

The ending left me a mystery thinking who and what motive the killer have? Was looking forward to that but I heard there will not be a season 3 for this film. Guessed I had to read the book to know what really happened in the end.

Zi Long (Donnie Yen) has been an infiltrating cop in Xiong's (Collin Chou) Hong Kong mafia clan for many years. The failure of his recent negotiation on behalf of Xiong with the other three local clans makes Xiong suspicious of Zi Long's identity. Xiong sets to wipe out every undercover in his gang. Sensing the danger, Zi Long requests an end to his undercover career from his supervisor Sir Zhang (Ronald Cheng). However, Zhang sends Zi Long to Mainland China to infiltrate a business of "Special Identity" trading instead. The business is run by Xiong's best protg Sunny (Andy On) who was Zi Long's previous buddy in the gang. Zhang promises to reinstate Zi Long's Police identity in conclusion of the mission once Sunny's business is broken down. Zi Long agrees, joining local Police Officer Lei Peng (Zhigang Yang) and Fang Jing (Jing Tian) in the force.

Watched Special ID 特殊身份 with Gary and JW yesterday evening. The title of the film says it all as it depicted a life on being a undercover. A fast paced action film which has a weak story plot. It focused too much on the amazing fighting scenes which neglected the story. However, it is still decent and watchable.

Fantastic fight moves! While watching the fight, I could feel the "pain" for them because it looked so.. real! Towards the end of the film, the climax gets to another level which kept viewers in excitement.

Had this Green Curry Set at Jai Thai. This set serves with a drink and dessert. The green curry was thick and flavorful. The chicken meat was tender and was sliced into small pieces for easy consumption. The portion was decent though some people might find it small for them. One of the better green curry I tasted which was rather authentic.

The dessert tasted like some "kueh kueh" which was yummy!

On the hottest day in 50 years, in the density packed urban centre, a serious fire incident happened to a busy commercial tower because of an unexpected phenomenon known as "flashover". As the fire burned their conscience to the ground, those who lacked passion in their life were about to meet a gaggle of firefighters with an indestructible enthusiasm to save lives.

Watched Out Of Inferno 逃出生天 with Jiewei earlier on. The story plot was direct and kept viewers engaged throughout the film. Great effort in the area of climax! Nice explosive scenes which bring it up to another level. Though the plot is slightly weak, I still enjoyed pretty much as a whole.

Besides showing a career as a fire-fighter, it depicted the importance of kinship in each and every single of them who are trap in the building. While watching, I was rather touched by each individual story.

It ended well with different learning points attained from the survivor and to move on with their lives.

Had this Char-grilled chicken at char-grill bar. Initially, the taste of the first few mouth was normal. I find that the sauce was decent though never give much of a surprise to my taste bud. However, it got better after more bites. I think it would be more yummy if more gravy was given. The chicken meat was tender without a thick layer of skin, thus it is slightly more healthy I guessed.

The sides given was small for the onion rings; It could be better if more were given. Thankfully, I am a small eater if not this will more likely won't do justice for those who want to enjoy more food!

Set in Singapore, Ilo Ilo chronicles the relationship between the Lim family and their newly arrived maid, Teresa. Like many other Filipino women, she has come to this city in search of a better life. Her presence in the family worsens their already strained relationship. Jiale, the young and troublesome son, starts to form a unique bond with Teresa, who soon becomes an unspoken part of the family. This is 1997 and the Asian Financial Crisis is beginning to be felt in the region.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Watched ILO ILO 爸妈不在家 with Jiewei. This is a true life film of the director Anthony Chen who was cared for by an Ilonggo maid, named Terry. With the help of Bombo Radio, the director was able to reunite and brought her to the gala premiere.

Ever wondered why the film is named ILO ILO? I was pretty curious and did research on it. ILO ILO is a province in Philippines which was closely related to Terry hometown. Thus, I think that is how He decided to name this film.

The story plot was simple and predictable. I thought it relate closely to one family lifestyle in Singapore. Though there wasn't much climax but it show the importance of learning to give and love in order to have acceptance from loved ones. Great to see some humor element being injected as well. It ended quite abruptly but I felt touched at the end of the show.

This dish here is Tsukemen 2x regular noodle at Menya musashi! Why 2x regular because I am able to choose my serving size up to 5x! It is Japan Signature dish as well!

The noodle texture is smooth and thick. It goes well with the dipping of broth. Do not try the broth by itself because you will be overwhelm by the taste of it. The cha shu is thick and chewy however I thought it was slightly dry for my taste bud.

One great value dish to have since you have a choice to choose your serving size! However, you are only to order and finish it by yourself because of the rule stated.

Here's my previous entry on their White Cha Shu Ramen.

Watched Runner Runner recently. The story plot was weak without any climax. I thought it was rather draggy with the many dialogue which pull the show down. Initially, did not really catch what was going on till the story goes on then I understood the entire plot. Was rather disappointed because I thought it will be one good film but it seems to be a pretty normal and predictable one.

Been to Quiznos quite a number of times and I enjoyed the sub there! The toasted bread consist of brown and parmesan, both are equally good! The parmesan tasted pretty flavorful! You can have a choice of soup or chips to choose from if you are going for the set.

The one above is Mesquite Chicken sub. Decent amount of meat was given and it tasted yummy alongside with lettuce and tomatoes. The bread is well-toasted and I think it goes well with honey mustard.
