[Singapore-Thai Drama Review] Missing

Thirty years ago, Sean’s brother, Sam, went missing. Having since worked his way up and been commissioned as an Inspector in the CID’s Special Investigation Section, Sean gained access to narrow down his search to Bangkok, Thailand in hope of reuniting with his long - lost brother. On one such trip, Sean encounters Lynn, a jaded, self - serving tour leader who makes him out to be a pervert and child kidnapper, and gets him arrested. There they meet Aut, a high - flying, hot - shot Thai Inspector who seems to care more about his image than police work and, at the same time, is suspiciously familiar with the local gangs. Thus their lives collided and become intertwined, and what started as one man’s search for his brother, quickly turns into a dangerous foray into the underbelly of an international human trafficking syndicate.

Just finished watching this channel 5 series - Missing. Before the show started, mediacorp has heavily publicised this Singapore-Thai production. I decided to catch it because I'm always a fan of such genre. When I discovered that it was from wawa's production, I'm sure this would be good. And true enough, it was commendable.

Personally, I thought that the drama had a focused story-line. The progression in each episodes led me to ponder and followed them closely. There were touching, intense and thrilling moments which hightened the show. At the same time, it strongly reminded me the importance of kinship.

The finale had an unexpected twist and ended rather abruptly. I am expecting a sequel for sure. Kudos to Pierre png acting capabilities once again. A versatile actor indeed! Not to leave out, Rebecca Lim on her role as Lynn. Good job!

[Movie Review] Tomb Raider

Lara Croft, the fiercely independent daughter of a missing adventurer, must push herself beyond her limits when she finds herself on the island where her father disappeared. From Warner Bros. Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures.

Watched Tomb raider with Grace at filmgarde leisure park kallang! Personally, I thought that the story was rather direct and fast-paced. Also, there were many intense moments which kept me at the edge of the seat. A pity that the story lack depth as it focused more on the above-mentioned. Certain scenes appear rather vague and "too good to be true".

Though the twist of the plot may appear predictable, it was well-presented with those amazing fight scenes. In order for viewers to grasp the show better, you have to pay close attention to piece them together. With Daniel Wu's appearance, it definitely made this film an interesting piece.

If you are into thriller and action-packed movies, I guess you would adore this pretty much.
