[Media Invite] Tamoya Udon, One of Asia’s Most Popular Udon Chain, Launches New Hotpot Menu

Located at Liang Court, Tamoya Udon is where gourmands can savour authentic Japanese udon in Singapore. Tamoya  Udon was first established in 1996 by Chef Tamotsu Kurokawa, who was crowned the sanuki udon champion when he entered TV Champion, a reality cooking show in Japan.

Chef Tamotsu believes delicious udon can evoke smiles and happiness. As such, more than just food, his udon offerings are a token of appreciation to his guests for their patronage. The hotpots are heated upon ordering, so that the soup is kept simmered and piping hot throughout the meal.

Beef Sukiyaki Udon ($13.80)

Other than the udon and juicy beef slices, Tamoya Udon has included a few accompaniments: chinese cabbage, carrots, green  onions,  tofu, shiitake  mushroom,  enoki mushroom and shirataki. There are 3 ways to enjoy sukiyaki udon: dip the chewy udon into the egg mixture; immerse the udon in the soup for 1 minute to get a softer texture; or mix an egg with the soup and udon to enjoy them together.

Double Tempura Vegetable Udon ($13.80)

The Double Tempura Vegetable Udon comes with 2 crispy fried tempura prawns. Light and flavourful, Tamoya’s signature udon soup is made by boiling a pot of carefully chosen dried Japanese bonito. Then, only the first layer of the blend is collected.

Spicy Pork Miso Udon ($13.80)

For spicy food lovers, the spicy pork miso udon’s robust soup base with succulent pork packs a fiery kick bound to satisfy.

Maze Mix Udon ($8.80)

A dry rendition,  the Maze  Udon comes with 7 ingredients: spicy minced pork, green onions, leek, garlic, bonito powder, nori (seaweed), and egg. Toss them together and relish the explosion of flavours!
