The story follows native New Yorker Rachel Chu as she accompanies her longtime boyfriend, Nick Young , to his best friend’s wedding in Singapore. Excited about visiting Asia for the first time but nervous about meeting Nick’s family, Rachel is unprepared to learn that Nick has neglected to mention a few key details about his life.

Personally, I felt that this film had a focused story-line but somewhat, predictable. Initially, it may appear rather slow-paced but thankfully, the progression gradually got better. It was a pity that the plot was weak without substantial content.
The main highlight was on these 2 characters - Rachel Chu & Nick Young about their romance relationship. Even when circumstances may not appear positively for Rachel Chu, I was totally impressed by her determination and courage.
Honestly, this movie did not work well for me. With the many recommendation, I was obviously expecting it to be be above average but however, it was just an average show.
