[Movie Review] 《花椒之味》FAGARA Gala Premiere

After her father died, a Hong Kong girl discovers she has two hitherto unknown sisters, one in Taiwan and one in China. To settle her father's debt, she must reunite with them to run the family's hot pot restaurant. While the androgynous Taiwan sister is plagued by her toxic relationship with her mother, the fashionista sister from China is trying to fend off her grandmother's pressure to get married. Meanwhile, she is striving to unshackle herself from her ex-boyfriend in order to start a new relationship.

Recently, I have attended the gala premiere of《花椒之味》FAGARA at Filmgarde Bugis+.

The movie is engaging, heart-warming with a focused story-line. It has a brief introductory which turn out rather slow and draggy. However, it gradually get better with a conducive plot.

Though it only revolve a few characters, the show is still promising with veteran artiste such as Sammi Cheng and Andy Lau.

Also, it educate me to let go of previous grudges, move on and forgive. In whatever circumstances, family will always be supportive to shower care, love and concern. Hence, cherish them dearly before it is too late.

Prepare yourself a packet of tissue because tears may naturally roll down from your eyes.

The movie will be officially out on 12 September 2019.
