Lan Jing Xuan (He Ying Ying), nicknamed ‘A Lonely Fish’ by her peers, is a socially awkward and introverted polytechnic student. As yet another argument breaks out between her parents while on the way home after Jing Xuan’s dance recital, the car swerves into a road intersection causing her parents’ death. Filled with hopelessness, Jing Xuan wants to end it all when Kai (Brian Ng), a doctor - in - training, stops her. Over time, as a romantic relationship between the two develops, she begins to increasingly hear strange sounds and voices, including those of her parents - leading her to believe that her parents are in an alternate dimension. Personally, I felt that the show was interesting and had a focused story-line. Though only a few characters are introduced, it was still engaging. It also triggered those good nostalgic memories during high school. At the same time, it reminded me on the importance of kinship. This film had an unexpected twist towards the finale which heightened the show. The hidden truth then began to piece up and enlighten viewers.
