[Movie Review] Angel Has Fallen

Secret Service Agent Mike Banning is framed for the attempted assassination of the President and must evade his own agency and the FBI as he tries to uncover the real threat.

I've just watched Angel Has Fallen with Trois at GV Plaza.

The show was compact, engaging but somewhat predictable. Initally, the introductory was rather draggy. However, the progression gradually got better with a condicive plot.

The many intense moment such as the bombing, action-pack and fighting definitely kept me at the edge of the seat. It also reminded me about the importance of kinship and to cherish the people around me. Honestly, this is probably the best instalment among the 3.

A thriller-action movie that is compact and exciting!

[Toggle Originals] KIKI Drama Review

An autistic animation artist, Jay, falls in love with his own animated character, Kiki, who actually comes to life one day. His obsession with perfecting and keeping her for himself ultimately leads to severe consequences.

Just finished watching KIKI , which was currently aired on Toggle. Personally, I thought the drama was engaging and had a refreshing plot. It had a great progression in each episode, which allow me to ponder and follow closely. If you watched the Korean Drama W - Two Worlds, I believe you will see similarity in its story.

The finale had it's own surprising element which let viewers have their own interpretation. Kudos to Brian Ng for his amazing acting capability. Also, not to miss out Kimberly Chia as she has great improvement protraying her role.

If a tiny little thing can escape something so massive and scary, then there's always a way out. Even when it seems impossible

[Movie Review] Line Walker 2 Invisible Spy 使徒行者2谍影行动

A frightening car crash in downtown Hong Kong sparks a war between the local police and the international criminal organizations. Superintendent Yip (Francis Ng) and Inspector Ching (Nick Cheung) from the Criminal Intelligence Bureau (Counter Terrorism) has arrested a female hacker named Yiu involved in the accident. But the two police officers are suspected by Superintendent Cheng (Louis Koo) of the Security Wing. Cheng requests the Commissioner of Police to forbid the two to take part in the investigation. Meanwhile, vital clues led them to the far foreign soil of Myanmar and Spain. Cheng and Ching work together but not hard enough to handle their conflicting ideas. While Yip just can’t trust neither one of them, he himself is being watched by the Commissioner who doubts if Yip is covering up evidences of crimes. The Commissioner believes that there have been moles in their midst and thus, a deep probe into a mysterious gang is needed. While everyone in the Police Force might be a rat, and investigation has gone astray by Yiu’s statements, heads of the department are completely clueless about who is good or evil.

I've just watched Line Walker 2 Invisible Spy: 使徒行者2谍影行动 with Danny at FilmGarde Bugis+.

Personally, I find the movie fast-paced with a a focused story-line. It was engaging with it's touching, intense and thrilling moments. The show emphasise on loyalty and brotherhood that was beautifully depicted throughout the film.

The finale was totally unexpected with it's surprising element. Viewers may also have their own interpretation of the ending. Kudos to Nick Cheung and Louis Koo for their amazing acting capability

[Movie Review] Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw

Ever since hulking lawman Hobbs (Johnson), a loyal agent of America's Diplomatic Security Service, and lawless outcast Shaw (Statham), a former British military elite operative, first faced off in 2015’s Furious 7, the duo have swapped smack talk and body blows as they’ve tried to take each other down. But when cyber-genetically enhanced anarchist Brixton (Idris Elba) gains control of an insidious bio-threat that could alter humanity forever and bests a brilliant and fearless rogue MI6 agent (The Crown’s Vanessa Kirby), who just happens to be Shaw’s sister these two sworn enemies will have to partner up to bring down the only guy who might be badder than themselves. Hobbs & Shaw blasts open a new door in the Fast universe as it hurtles action across the globe, from Los Angeles to London and from the toxic wasteland of Chernobyl to the lush beauty of Samoa.

I've just watched Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw with Ting Feng at GV Plaza.

Personally, I thought that the story was simple and fast-paced. There are many funny and intense moment which kept me at the edge of the seat. A pity that the story lack creativity and was predictable. However, it was well-presented with amazing kick ass fighting and action pack scenes.

The show resembles 痞子英雄:黎明再起 Black And White: The Dawn Of Justice for it's entire plot. It portray the importance of teamwork and educated viewers never to be complacent. Those hilarious conversation are indeed funny as well!

Honestly, the film was rather draggy towards the finale. If you are a fan of the Fast & Furious series, you may also get disappointed with this installment. The story-line is basically different from the previous sequel.
