Spider-Man: Homecoming Movie Review

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging superhero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine—distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man—but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

Watched Spider-Man: Homecoming with Gary at the GV Bishan.

Personally, I thought that the film was simple and compact but somewhat, predictable. The story flow turned out well but its introductory was brief without a distinct background. There were certain good intense and action moments, which kept me at the edge of my seat. The entertaining elements itself reminded me of Deadpool.

Through this film, it also educated viewers to persevere on and seize every opportunity, even when circumstances may not seem positive. A pity that the finale was somewhat disappointing. Overall, it was good but definitely not one of the best.

[Media Invitation] Maguro Donya's New Menu Launch!

Maguro-Donya is a concept by Misaki Megumi Suisan, a wholesaler of maguro and sashimi in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Misaki Megumi Suisan is a renowned Japanese tuna and fish wholesaler, and its trawlers have the capabilities to catch the biggest maguro in the world. The maguro is then offered to gourmands at unrivalled prices.

This signature platter is a medley of five maguro cuts: the Hon Akami, Chutoro, Otoro, Kamatoro and Toumi. The top loin part of the fish, the Hon Akami boasts a lean texture, and is best for those who are health-conscious. The Chutoro is the mid-fat portion of the loin. The Otoro is the fattest amongst the cuts, with an exquisite marbling texture akin to that of wagyu beef. The Kamatoro comes from the part between the fish cheek and fish collar, with a good balance of fat and meat. The head of the bluefin tuna, Toumi is so delicate and high in fat content that it has to be served semi-frozen.

Continue the indulgence with the Otoro Don Set. It features thin slices of beautifully marbled otoro on fluffy Hokkaido sushi rice perfumed with vinegar. Relish the melt-in-your-mouth texture; every bite you take will be replete with healthy omega-3 fatty acids.

Another must-try marquee dish is the Megumi Special Set, which can serve two persons. A truly exquisite offering, the Megumi Special Set comprises Big Eye Maguro, a medium rare Chutoro Steak and a Grilled Blue Fin Maguro Collar. It is accompanied with a small salad, steamed egg and a dessert of the day.

Maguro Rare Katsu: Breaded juicy chutoro that is deep-fried to an enticing crispy texture.

Uni Ikura Misaki Roll a.k.a. Godzilla Roll: A super luxe offering with generous scoops of Hokkaido salmon roe and sea urchin.
