Kenshin Himura is a legendary swordsman in the wars accompanying the turbulent fall of Japans Shogunate in the 19th century. Once feared as Battosai the Killer, he has adopted a peaceful life since the arrival of the new age in Japanese history. But Makoto Shishio, the Shadow Killer who succeeded to Kenshins position in the service of the new government, has since then been active in the Kyoto underworld. Because he knew too much of the dark side of the new government, he was stabbed and his body set on fire. He survived, however and, wrapped in bandages, has raised an army of disaffected former samurai with the aim of overthrowing the new regime. Agreeing to a request by Toshimichi Okubo, the Home Minister, Kenshin leaves his friends in Tokyo and sets out for Kyoto. He and Shishio are a match in skill and in wits, but their aims are opposite. Kenshin seeks to preserve the nation without breaking his vow that he will kill no more.

Watched Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno yesterday evening. Been looking forward to this film after watching Rurouni Kenshin in 2012!

Personally, I felt that this sequel was pretty good. The story was direct and started pretty well in the beginning. However, it went slightly draggy while I watched. As compared, I thought that the flow was not as good as Rurouni Kenshin. Nevertheless, this show was rather compact with certain history, background and fight scenes presented.

The fight scenes were still as amazing as before which was one of the selling point you should take note. Certain humour was injected which brighten up the show as well. The story got more intense towards the end, drawing my my attention to find out more what could happen next.

If Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno was good, I think the finale will be even better!

Had this signature soft-shell chilli crab wanton noodle @ Iwan noodle! Was recommended by one of my colleague to this eatery. Personally, this dish tasted reasonably tasty. The gravy was not that spicy yet slightly sweet which was appetizing. The soft-shell crab was nicely cooked and was crispy. Decent portion which satisfy one's tummy. However, I thought that the texture of the noodle could be improved. Do try out this dish if you are around the vicinity.

When the date was being confirmed, a dating consultant will sent a email for confirmation. The content includes the details of my date, reservation and appointment.

During the meet up, the conversation started with the sharing of our job. We share more about our working experiences in our previous and current position. Also, the difficulties in the different industry. Next, we share about our school life and hobbies.

I also got the chance to share my recent Taiwan trip experience to her. To my surprise, Taiwan was one of her favourite country. Also, I got to know about her family background through the conversation.

I thought that the details of my dates were useful as it helped me start a conversation on related topics such as her favourite film and hobbies. However, I was slightly disappointed when she got my education mixed up with other guys.

After the date, I thought that it was more like a get-to-know session. We had a rather good conversation but somewhat knew that we can only be good friends. I guess we had certain similarities yet different values in life. Thus, it was a lunch session with a new friend.

After the date, eSynchrony will follow up with a feedback form. I thought that the feedback is important and useful to refine my matches and find compatible dates for me. It also serves a guideline for me to improve in future dates.

Initially, I was quite picky to decide which girl I did like to meet. However, I decided to have a "make friend" mentally instead of "dating" mentally. I guess everything begins with a friendship thus I approve a girl which I felt comfortable at first sight.

The Escape Hunt Experience is an adventure like no other - exciting, addictive, challenging, educational & above all, fun! You will voyage back 100 years in time & play the part of a famous London detective, Shylock Barnes (or Charlotte Barnes), solving challenging mysteries set in old Singapore.

When I walked inside, I was amazed by the beautiful design and theme concept. The place was spacious with nice ambiance. There were cosy sofa sets for customers as well.

I booked the 4pm slot to play spy in the study and was told to reached the place at 3.50pm for the briefing. However, we waited for an hour to play bomb in the cellar instead because of some bug in their database. We agreed to wait since we were already there.

Though my friends and I was a little upset about this issue, they felt apologetic about it with constant good service provided.

Since we had to rush for our dinner after the game, the game master suggested we take our group photo and tea before the game. If not, these will only be done after our game. We got the privilege to choose our desired tea flavour which was placed on the table. I decided to go for lady grey tea since I rarely seen this around. It tasted quite okay for me. I felt that the gesture was nice since this was the first escape room that served tea.

Before we start to play, the game master brief us on the rules that we should take note of. Also, to seek hints when needed but 1 hint means -1 minute of your time. And yup, we have an hour to escape!

Previously, tried similar escape reality game at Trapped.sg - Alice in the wonderland & Exit Plan - The Cursed Chamber. Thus, I was looking forward to try the game room at the escape hunt!

Personally, I felt that bomb in the cellar was pretty challenging yet fun! Similar to other escape reality game, this requires teamwork and involvement while we were trapped inside the room. We also have to be observant as each clues found might help you solve the mystery to the puzzle.

Since Huan and I played other escape room before, we could better relate on how to solve the puzzle there though we still needed clues to guide us. I was glad to use the clue to unlock one mystery. SK did a great job with most of the calculation. And yup, we managed to escape in time!

Though all escape reality game were pretty similar, I felt that the escape hunt was better in terms of the story theme and concept put forth.

During dinner that night, I received an apology email from the team regarding their error with the booking system which cause confusion. To make up for that, they offer a free game for me! The gesture was really thoughtful.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience with the escape hunt!

Had lunch with colleagues at Tori King. This restaurant was located at 100am shopping mall. Many a time, you see ramen comes along with char siu (pork). Instead of char siu (pork), you get to see something different here.

One thing good to mention was that you could customize your ramen on the texture, soup and amount of oil added.

Tori King Ramen with Flavoured Egg tasted good! The broth tasted just right for my taste bud, not too salty or blend. The texture of the noodle was good with the soft boiled egg was nicely done. The chicken meat tasted okay and was tender. However, I thought that it could be marinated longer for better taste.

Till date, I have to agree that Keisuke was one of the best ramen I have tasted.

Tried their Japanese Green Tea Cola as well, it tasted similar to cola. Only thing was that it had a slight twist of Japanese Green Tea which makes this beverage a pretty refreshing one.

In the span of a single day, the town of Silverton is ravaged by an unprecedented onslaught of tornadoes. The entire town is at the mercy of the erratic and deadly cyclones, even as storm trackers predict the worst is yet to come. Most people seek shelter, while others run towards the vortex, testing how far a storm chaser will go for that once-in-a-lifetime shot. Told through the eyes and lenses of professional storm chasers, thrill-seeking amateurs, and courageous townspeople, "Into the Storm" throws you directly into the eye of the storm to experience Mother Nature at her most extreme.

Watched Into The Storm with Trois last Friday night. Personally, I thought that this film was like a documentary showcasing a natural disaster happening in the town of Silverton. A fast-paced film which reminded me of 127 hours, educating viewers the values of life. Both films were penned by Simon Beaufoy thus the similarities in certain scenes.

The story flow well which kept viewers pondering what could exactly happen next. Some intense and humor was injected to enhance this show. Also, it educated viewers to cherish things you have at the moment such as kinship and life you have.

A good film to catch which educate viewers on many aspects of life.

Shinigami-kun

Shinigami-kun (Ohno Satoshi), alias grim reaper #413, is a rookie, who pronounces the death of those scheduled to die and brings souls to the nether world. He would appear with the signature phrase “Congratulations! I’m here to call on you”, although it is hard to say how this can be a happy occasion, and watch over the dying. To a grim reaper, persuading people attempting to commit suicide and preventing unforeseen deaths is also an important task. But because #413 is new to this grim reaper work, he has a tendency to lean towards humans in his judgments, break the rules of the nether world and get reprimanded by his superior.

Finished watching Shinigami Kun recently. Personally, I felt that the story was interesting with unexpected twist in each episode. The plot was somewhat similar to death note but this drama emphasis more on the weakness of a human while facing difficulties in life.

In each episode, there will be different scenarios of a person who is going to passed on few days later. Then, Shinigami-kun will be there to assist and grant any last wishes the person might have while Akuma will appear later on to distract the entire situation attacking a human's weaknesses. I was rather amazed by the smart plot in certain episode with unexpected twist which I never thought of.

...Continue from Taiwan Trip - Kenting

Then, reached our next destination Kaohsiung!

Had one of our meals here at 蒸饺许记. The food tasted okay. Personally, I felt that the dumpling was slightly dry for my taste bud. The noodles were quite tasty and chewy though.

Along the pavement, you can easily rent a bicycle to ride on. A interesting concept!

Then, we headed to 享溫馨 KTV for our singing session there! Nice ambiance with reasonable price! The toilet was in the singing room itself thus it was convenient. We sang for about 4 hours and enjoyed our experience there!

After which, we make our way to 瑞豐夜市 Ruifeng Night Market!

Tried the beef noodle at Quan Jia Fu. I kinda like the tender beef meat and the chewy noodle. The broth tasted pretty good as well.

Tried the onion rings from 蔥樂手工洋蔥圈 and I adore this dish pretty much! As you can see, they did it fresh on the spot and was handmade. Crispy on the outside with juicy onions in it!

Then, we rent a bicycle and cycle around 旗津海洋公園. The place there was beautiful. Enjoyed the scenery while cycling. Though the weather was scotching hot but it was a nice ride around the area there.

We went to 驳二艺术特区 to walk around. Also, we decided to go for the snoopy exhibition there. The exhibition there was interesting and fun. Had a good time taking photos and exploring the place.

Kaohsiung was a pretty place and I do agree it is a nice place to cycle around. Our last destination will be Taipei! Will be blogging about it soon!
